It's been a while..

I'm starting my Foundation course on Monday. Well, I'm meant to be but I currently have swine flu; hence why I have found some time to update my website! But I'm really looking forward to getting some work done as I haven't done anything creative over the summer. I also bought a bike, not a Pashley sadly but a Raleigh Caprice.
Anyway, watch this space for some more work to come!

College has now officially finished, though I do feel a bit lost not having any work to do. Had to set up a small exhibit of our work from the year and here are a couple of crappy pictures of it taken on my camera-phone.

Exeter Zinefest

Went to Exeter Zinefest on Saturday with my very own zine. Never really been into zines but I thought I'd do one and bring it along for a bit of self-promotion. I was really impressed with some of the stuff they had for sale (even if some of it was REALLY overpriced). One particular artist that I was really impressed with was Clare Owen. I loved the Chanel perfume bottle prints. Well I gave them my zine, not intending it to be sold but I managed to sell 2 for £1 each. I'm pretty surprised anyone even picked mine up to be honest, with some of the others being such good quality. I still have 2 left so if anyone fancies having one, drop me an email.

I had all of my wisdom teeth taken out on Friday. It went surprisingly well and all has been fine until this evening. I think one of them may be infected because it is aching like a motherfucker. I desperately hope it isn't because that would NOT be good. So I've been wandering around in a daze this weekend because of the codeine.
I am currently in the process of making my own zine! Hopefully should be done in time for Exeter Zinefest.

So now it's official, I'm moving in with Richard! We're already planning things for our flat, like a handmade coffee table we saw down at the quay made of oak. It's amazing but it's £150, might have to save up for that one. And a Si Scott print, that'll be about £145. I don't know why I'm getting so excited, it's not for another 6 months.

I'm not doing the Foundation Degree in Graphic Design anymore, although I think I can get a place on the course, I think I'd benefit more from the Foundation Course. So I'll probably go to UWE or Plymouth Uni next year.

Must get one of these.

i ripped my nail off again, ouch. i won't take a picture of it though, cos it's not as gross as the last one but 10x more painful.
i got to get 2 of my wisdom teeth out in a couple of weeks as well and because they're impacted there is risk of permanent nerve damage to my face. i hope i don't get permanent nerve damage to my face :(
getting well excited about moving out. well i've been planning it for 3 years! haven't heard back from exeter college about the foundation degree but i got a letter regarding the foundation course and i've been given an unconditional offer which i'm quite pleased with. I also have my plymouth uni interview in a couple of days. i'm not really too bothered though because i don't really want to stay in plymouth for 3 more years.
and i'm getting a car! yay!

that is all..

cornwall

on the train back from cornwall now, the weather has been beautiful! went to st ives the other day, such a beautiful town. i would love to live there if only it wasn't so remote.
just lucky that i figured out how to connect my phone to my laptop so i can use the internet wherever i go because it's now just under 3 hours until i get back into exeter.
i bought a new graphic design book from the tate (don't go to the bloody tate, whatever you do. it's a piece of shit) which has been very helpful, and bought computer arts magazine AND computer arts projects. so lots of reading to do at least.
been thinking about starting my own mini crafts business to earn some extra money. not sure what i'd make yet but it would be lots of fun.
take a look at my website and my flickr as i've had a lot of time on my hands and been able to update both of them!
